As part of the celebration of
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
to commemorate 75 years of progressive India,
AJNIFM is organizing a National Webinar on Atmanirbhar Bharat
December 17-18, 2021
The concept of the term "Aatma Nirbhar Bharat" was coined by the Prime Minister of India in his address to the nation on May 12, 2020. He called this campaign Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan (Self-Reliant India Movement). He also defined five pillars of Aatmanirbhar Bharat – Economy, Infrastructure, System, Demography, and Demand. He stressed that it is time to become vocal about our local products and make them global. Under this campaign, a special economic package has been released by the government, which will benefit various segments including cottage industry, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), laborers, middle class, and industries, among others.
He further highlighted each of the five pillars of making India self-reliant such as:
- Economy: We have to bring an economy that doesn’t bring incremental change but quantum jump.
- Infrastructure: We need an infrastructure that can become the identity of modern India.
- System: A system that doesn’t follow the norms of the previous century. It should be able to fulfill our 21st-century dreams and be technology-driven.
- Vibrant Democracy: It is our strength, it is the source of energy for our dream to make India self-reliant.
- Demand: The demand-supply chain is our power, we should use it to its full potential.
Aatmanirbhar has been envisaged as a great opportunity to strengthen Brand India & promote Swadeshi companies, which are endowed with the unmatched talent to outperform competition given a level playing field. During this paradigm shift, time is opportune to strengthen the ecosystem in our country and utilize its full potential by focused promotion strategies like ‘Make in India’ and thus benefit the Indian economy. The Government is leveraging Aatmanirbhar Bharat and stimulating MNCs to produce locally and locally procure the raw materials and ingredients for their final products. There is a need to strategize and identify the major challenges in the road map so that a level playing field is created and manufacturing in India can be both cost and quality competitive. This is an opportunity to transform the Indian economy for a quantum jump.
Against this background, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate 75 years of independence, AJNIFM is going to organize a week-long Mahotsav and a National Webinar / Seminar on Atmanirbhar Bharat (India) during December 2021. Research Papers are invited from academicians, research scholars, doctoral fellows, which will be published in the Institute Journal and also in a book form. The papers should focus on the theme of Atmanirbhar Bharat while promoting Vocal for Local & moving towards Self Reliant India.
